On Saturday, we had our first LYG33 meeting since the residential at the London Aquatics Centre. The day started with group talks on how to set up and maintain an inclusive environment.

We then held a fantastic opportunity to meet contacts with LYG33 alumni Jadon, Beth, LYG Hall of Fame member and Paralympian Hilmy, Army Taekwondo players and Ellie Reid, our Head of Workforce Development. This opportunity gave us a chance to use the networking skills we learned at the residential session in practice.

The meeting began with a networking lunch, during which we first met our guests. Then, we moved to a more structured table talk, during which we held useful chats and learned from our guests’ pasts, motivations, and achievements.

To finish the day we split into co-production groups to look back on our work, list our present targets and decide our next steps for the ongoing season.

The day was filled with opportunities to grow as a person and expand our skill set. Another really successful session for LYG33.
