Hundreds of school pupils from across London will come together to take part in the London Youth Games Dynamos Cricket, an inclusive and non-competitive introduction to cricket.
The event focuses on fun, skill-based activities designed to give all 8-11 year olds new to the sport or graduating from the All Stars National Cricket Programme the chance to build confidence, particularly for children who are new to the sport.
It complements junior cricket through introducing them to countdown cricket providing a more social offer focusing on fundamental movement skills.

The following age groups and respective maximum date of births will apply to the London Youth Games Dynamos Cricket Competition:

Competition Tier: Higher
Competition Intent: Highly competitive environment where winning is the measure of success and level of challenge is high, in order to further the development of young athletes. Local qualifying events are encouraged, with the winning school progressing to the county final.
Player Eligibility: Aimed at children and young people who enjoy competition and may regularly access training and coaching outside of the school environment. Participants are used to competing in sport inside and outside of school, have a higher skill ability and understand tactics and strategies in competitive game play situations.
Schools are permitted to enter a minimum of 8 competitors and a maximum of 10 competitors per gender.
The closing date for boroughs to enter a team and submit their school representative is;
5pm, Wednesday 5th June 2024.
A school must be entered by a School Games Organiser or a nominated team manager in advance of the deadline listed on the LYG App.
