Wandsworth
Wandsworth love the London Youth Games and enjoy supporting teams to take part in as many events as possible. As an Inner London Borough the Games provides a great catalyst for new people to get involved in sport locally and enjoy a great competition against the rest of London.
Each year we run a series of trials and selections to qualify for the Wandsworth team and we are always keen to hear from interested participants throughout the year whom want to register an interest. Feel free to sign up and highlight the sports you are interested in at www.enablelc.org/lyg
As well as fielding teams across a number of sports we have also had a lot of success, especially recently, being crowned the Jubilee trophy winners in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and consistently featuring amongst the top few Boroughs. We have also had a number of athletes who have represented Wandsworth who have gone on to International success including Darius Knight (Table Tennis), Dami Bakare (Volleyball), Siobhan Chamberlain and Fara Williams (Football). Hopefully the Games can be your first step to enjoying sport and going on to achieve a successful sporting career.
