BMX racing takes place on purpose built indoor or outdoor tracks made from compacted dirt and tarmac featuring a large starting ramp, banked corners and a variety of jumps including tabletops, gap jumps and rhythm sections.
The race meetings are action packed with qualifying heats called ‘motos’ with riders moving onto further knockout rounds. Races are fast paced and non-stop!

Each borough is permitted to enter a minimum of 1 competitor and a maximum of 40 competitors made up of the following squad composition;
Max 20 Novice and max 20 Expert riders, alongside any additional non-scoring Wingz Riders.
- Expert: competed in 3 or more Regional Series or National Series races between 2022 & 2023
- Novice: Not competed at National series or competed regularly between 2022 – 2023.
- All riders must have British Cycling third party liability insurance (BCF membership number must be provided on entry form).
The closing date for borough’s to submit their team and squad entry is;
5pm, Wednesday 15th May 2024.
All competitors must be entered by a council staff member, or nominated team manager in advance of the deadline listed.
Competitors/parents should be aware that the closing date listed is for borough’s to submit their squad. It is advised you make contact to confirm your entry in advance of this deadline.
