Young Cricketers Deliver Standout Performances at London Youth Games

The London Youth Games cricket finals took place on March 23, 2025, at UEL Sports Dock, a venue that hosted Team USA during the London 2012 Olympics. The competition saw Harrow win gold in the U13 boys’ event, Ealing take the top spot in the U13 girls’ category, and Havering and Ealing share the gold in the U15 girls’ event. The tournament provided young players with a chance to develop their skills, work as a team and experience healthy competition. It also built confidence and friendships in the young players.
Coaches, parents, and spectators praised the young cricketers for their determination and sportsmanship.
The competition aims to encourage more young athletes to stay involved and develop a lifelong love of cricket. Many young players will go on to build on their experience, with some potentially progressing to higher levels of the sport.
Congratulations to the following winning boroughs:

Gold: Harrow.
Sliver: Westminster.
Bronze: Havering.
U13 Girls:

Bronze: Havering.
U15 Girls gold:

Havering Team Manager, Angela Green, said: “Today was another fantastic event, well-organized and played in great spirits. It was wonderful to meet other teams from across the boroughs. The event really helped build team spirit within the boroughs, as many clubs came together, combining their strengths. With the season approaching, it’s a perfect way to gear up for competitive cricket again.”
Harrow Team Manager, Raj Kanagaraj, added “This competition has been invaluable, helping the boys bond, make friends and improve their mental well-being. They come from different schools and clubs and this will encourage them to participate in more cricket in the future. The London Youth Games played a key role in achieving these goals.”
Thank you to the officials who brilliantly supported the day, particularly our young umpires and scores for their efforts. We are grateful to the BTO’s, Team Managers and parents for their support in making the day memorable for the players.
