Applications open for two trustee positions on london youth games board

London Youth Games are seeking to recruit two new Trustees. The Trustees will become a member of a Board that has the responsibility of setting the strategic aims and objectives for London Youth Games and ensuring that they are fulfilled while having a hugely positive impact on young people today. London Youth Games are looking for individuals who are innovative thinkers, who see beyond the now and want to be a part providing bigger and better sport and physical activity to the young people of London.

The London Youth Games was launched in 1977 to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Since then, the Games have provided unique, accessible competitive and participation sporting opportunities to over 1.5 million young Londoners across 35 sports. Nike is a current headline sponsor of the Games.

The Games have provided a springboard for many Londoners to go on and achieve in life and celebrates alumni such as Alex Scott, Linford Christie, Bradley Wiggins, Dina Asher-Smith and Raheem Sterling.

London Youth Games are looking for Trustees that can relate to diverse youth communities across London and with a passion for sport and the positive impact sport can have. This will help us ensure that the London Youth Games delivers effective opportunities for young Londoners no matter their background, in line with the belief that Sport is a right for all.
